Freelance Senior Solution Architect (Cloud) - Hybrid - Long Term We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to oversee the transformation and integration of a Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) across the organisation. In this strategic role, you will define cloud architecture standards, drive cloud adoption, and ensure consistent and scalable integration of CCoE frameworks, tools, and best practices throughout engineering, operations, and business units. This position is pivotal in shaping the company's long-term cloud strategy and ensuring operational excellence across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. Responsibilities Define and evolve the target cloud architecture, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals and transformation objectives. Lead the integration and optimisation of the Cloud Centre of Excellence, including operating models, processes, governance, and tooling. Work closely with enterprise architecture, security, and engineering teams to ensure unified cloud strategy and governance. Architect secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions across Azure / AWS / GCP (adjust as needed). Drive adoption of modern cloud technologies, including containers, microservices, serverless, Provide hands-on guidance, technical leadership, and mentoring to engineering teams and platform squads. Lead architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts, and technology evaluations to support ongoing transformation. Partner with key stakeholders—including CIO, CTO, product leads, and operations—to define priorities and ensure effective CCoE integration. Promote cloud governance, operational excellence, cost optimisation, and security compliance throughout the organisation. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at senior levels. Drive cultural and operational transformation by fostering DevOps, automation, cloud-native, and continuous delivery practices.
