Do you know the feeling of having to wait forever for your insurer to answer your email? That is what we are solving Insurance historically is a manual labor-intensive, admin-heavy industry. A lot of manual labour goes into reading incoming requests, processing emails and attachments from central mailboxes, forwarding to colleagues, scheduling and prioritizing tasks and archiving information into insurance back-office systems. Our AI Agent Clara reduces friction and brings structure to the biggest bottleneck of insurance operations: the Mailroom. We believe technology should improve the way people interact and work towards a future where nobody is just a number. Role As a Business Developer for the BE/International Market at Paperbox, you'll play a key role in driving our growth in the Netherlands. You'll own the full sales cycle: from prospecting and engaging with potential customers, to running demos, shaping business cases, and closing deals. You'll be the face of Paperbox for insurers and brokers in the Netherlands, showing how our AI Agent Clara transforms their operations. Working closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product, you'll help us expand our Dutch footprint and build strong, long-term customer relationships. This is a full-time role with flexibility for remote work and regular travel within the Netherlands. The right time and place The last years we have been bootstrapping and building the foundations of our GTM machine. With over 50 customers in insurance, we have nailed down our ICP and value proposition. We're currently focused on expanding into the Netherlands market as our primary growth engine, with plans to scale into the UK thereafter. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of sales in the Netherlands, converting early adopters into long-term customers and accelerating our growth. Your responsibilities Sales & Market Development Own the full sales cycle in the Netherlands: prospecting, discovery, demos, business cases, negotiations, and closing Execute go-to-market strategy focused on Dutch insurers and brokers Build strong pipeline and maintain accurate forecasting in HubSpot Target innovators and early adopters to create market momentum Tailor our value proposition to Dutch market needs and regulatory context Sales Excellence Run compelling discovery meetings using value-based selling frameworks Work with prospects to define clear success criteria and ROI Manage complex buying cycles (IT, compliance, procurement) Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term adoption Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing on campaigns, events, and thought-leadership content for the Dutch market Share market insights with Product to help shape our roadmap Represent Paperbox at industry events and networking opportunities in the Netherlands You are a great fit if you have Commercial Drive (Hunter) Ability to run consultative, value-based sales processes B2B SaaS/Enterprise Software sales experience is a plus Proven track record of hitting and exceeding quota Strong hunter mentality – you love prospecting and opening new doors Sales Excellence Experience managing full sales cycles with multiple stakeholders Strong communication and negotiation skills in Dutch and English (French is a plus ) Comfortable navigating compliance, IT, and procurement requirements CRM discipline and data-driven forecasting (HubSpot experience a plus) Collaboration & Growth Mindset Entrepreneurial spirit: self-starter who thrives in a scale-up environment Team player who works well across Marketing, Product, and Customer Success Willingness to travel regularly in the Netherlands Bachelor's degree in Business or related field Native Dutch proficiency Experience in insurance or financial services industry Perks and benefits At Paperbox we strongly believe in diversity and a healthy work environment.
