I'm working with a forward-thinking company dedicated to creating a cleaner and healthier Europe. They're working on an innovative application that is designed to reduce pollution across the continent, making a significant impact on the environment and public health. As they expand their operations, they are looking for a passionate and skilled QA Specialist to lead their Quality Assurance team and help achieve their mission. You will have a strong background in Quality Assurance, Test Automation, and Jira, with additional skills in Jest, PHP, or JavaScript being a plus. This role offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of the QA team, drive testing strategies, and ensure the highest quality of their application in direct communication with the Technical Lead and CTO. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and test plans to ensure the highest quality of their application Lead the QA team, providing mentorship, guidance, and direction Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage Collaborate with the development team to identify, document, and track defects using Jira Ensure continuous integration and delivery pipelines are functioning correctly and efficiently Perform manual testing when necessary to validate new features and bug fixes Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and the CTO to understand requirements and provide feedback Requirements At least 3 years experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation Proficiency in using Jira for defect tracking and project management Familiarity with Jest, PHP, or JavaScript is highly desirable French speaking Valid Belgium working permit Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate with team members Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Offer The chance to work on a genuinely impactful application Having the opportunity to head up and grow your own QA Team Up to EUR6,000 EUR gross for strong applicants Full benefits package, including the chance to improve your gross salary rapidly based on performance Flexible hybrid working policy Inclusive team environment If you are ambitious in scaling up your own QA Team and keen on making a difference, this could be the role for you
