Mission Context You will join a leading financial institution operating in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment, committed to delivering high-quality digital products and services to its clients. The IT organization is driven by Agile ways of working, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Role Overview As an Expert Test Engineer, you play a key role in defining, implementing, and continuously improving the testing strategy at Tribe level . You work closely with Agile squads, fellow Tribe Test Engineers, and Agile/DevOps coaches to assess testing maturity, define tailored roadmaps, and support teams in adopting best-in-class testing and automation practices. Your objective is to foster a culture of quality ownership, test automation, and continuous improvement across the Tribe. Key Responsibilities Assess current testing practices, tools, and workflows across multiple Agile squads. Define and implement a customized test roadmap per squad aligned with the Tribe’s test strategy. Support teams in the adoption and integration of testing best practices and test automation . Act as feature quality owner for cross-squad or Tribe initiatives, defining the test approach and monitoring progress. Monitor test maturity and progress, providing guidance and adjustments where needed. Deliver training sessions and workshops on testing methodologies, tools, and quality practices. Collaborate closely with Agile and DevOps coaches to ensure alignment with Agile principles. Ensure structured reporting and clear communication to all relevant stakeholders. Testing Scope & Tools The existing testing platform covers: Test strategy and governance Unit testing and test automation Service virtualization Performance and non-functional testing Test management and reporting tools Required Experience & Qualifications R elevant experience in testing, QA, or test automation roles. Strong experience working in or with Agile development teams . Proven experience in defining and implementing test strategies and automation frameworks . Hands-on experience with: Java, Git, Cucumber with JUnit, Selenium WebDriver, Page Object Model, Test automation best practices, Test management tools (e.g. Octane) Experience in the banking or insurance sector is a strong asset. Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach and mentor teams . Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Nice to Have Background as a Test Automation Engineer Experience in large-scale, cross-team or Tribe-level environments
