About Euroseeds Seed of new and improved plant varieties is the indispensable input for all farming and food production. It is estimated that more than 65% of all productivity gains in agricultural production today is due to the improved genetics of new varieties; Consequently, seed is a highly regulated product, not only, but also at European level, covered by numerous EU Regulations and Directives, from access to plant genetic resources and product authorisation to quality standards, intellectual property rights or packaging rules.
It represents companies active in plant breeding research, variety development, seed production and seed marketing in the wider European region. General Secretariat
The Euroseeds General Secretariat is responsible for the preparation and implementation of the association’s strategic priorities, its day-to-day management, as well as the representation of the European seed sector towards EU institutions and any relevant third parties. It currently consists of 14 FTE of various nationalities, academic and professional backgrounds. The Coordinator Outreach and Advocacy will lead and coordinate the work of the Secretariat team involved in relevant activities, from communication and membership engagement to advocacy support and public affairs strategy implementation, involving relevant technical expertise of other team members.
In his/her function of Manager Public Affairs , he/she will work closely with the Euroseeds Membership and under the guidance of the Secretary General to whom he/she will be reporting. The Manager will mainly focus on the development and implementation of the association’s outreach and advocacy work and its overarching public affairs strategy towards EU decision makers.
The Manager will be a leading spokesperson for the EU seed sector and help assure multiplication of European activities also at national level as required.
Euroseeds welcomes applications of experienced professionals with proven track record in the relevant field and with a respective academic background. Specific additional training on individual aspects may be provided.

Coordinate and lead the Euroseeds Outreach and Advocacy team
Apply public affairs, campaigning and EU policy expertise to strategic and annual planning
Lead responsibility for identification of key public affairs priorities and respective
Manage implementation of overarching and specific lobbying activities in Euroseeds’ strategic policy priority areas (Research and Innovation; International Markets and Trade; Very strong expertise and experience (minimum 7-10 years) in EU public / government affairs
Solid knowledge of current agricultural and environmental policy issues and developments; Very strong written and spoken EN (working language)

Team player with pro-active initiative and ability to work independently
