TruPositive AI (TRU+) is building the first closed-loop FinOps automation engine — a system that not only detects cloud cost anomalies, but understands them, learns how engineers fix them, and automates the fix. We are gaining momentum, the product is growing fast, and we're expanding the core engineering team in Ghent (Belgium), one of Europe's hottest startup hubs. Note: This is NOT a fully remote job. We are looking for candidates based in BELGIUM who possess a valid EU WORK PERMIT. We strongly believe in in-person collaboration and expect team members to work from our Ghent or Antwerp offices at least two days per week. Who You Are You're a cloud-native DevOps automation engineer who thinks in terms of: resource state CloudTrail/Config diffs root-cause patterns safe automation system design over one-off scripts You naturally ask: "What changed?""Why did the cost spike?""How do we automate this safely?" You enjoy digging into logs, understanding patterns, and building systems that other engineers can rely on. You care about clarity and correctness. You prefer small teams where you can directly shape the product. You're someone who builds leverage — every line of code you write should make TRU+ smarter, faster, and safer for every customer. If this describes you, you'll thrive here. What You'll Do 1. Understand How Engineers Fix Issues (Today) When a customer resolves a cost anomaly, you reconstruct the story by pulling cloud state and telemetry: CloudTrail events AWS Config diffs CloudWatch metrics Resource inventory and tags You determine: what changed, which resource was touched, the action taken, and why it solved the issue. This becomes a structured "resolution flow" that TRU+ learns from. 2. Turn Fixes Into Automations (Tomorrow) You transform repeated remediations into robust Python automations, with guardrails and rollback. Examples include: applying RI or Savings Plans right-sizing compute or storage shutting down unused resources eliminating cross-AZ NAT patterns enforcing tags and governance taming runaway Lambda workloads You think like a cloud operator — correctness first, safety always.
