Scope of the role We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to play a key role in making the current data team a driving force within our data-driven culture. Your focus will be to help drive high-impact decisions by using our modern (Google-)stack to analyse marketing, product, customer and operations data. You will be part of our data team consisting of data engineers, data analysts and data scientists. In this team, flexibility and collaboration are key to make sure the data is well-modeled, trustworthy, well understood by and shared with our stakeholders. This role reports to the Tech Lead and is based in Nevele (right next to Ghent). Your role From data, via insights towards business value Translate data and insights into understandable conclusions for the business. This means that next to understanding the data, where it comes from, how to interpret it, you also understand the business. Analyse marketing, e-commerce and subscription performance (conversions, reactivation, retention, churn, CLTV etc.). Perform deep-dive analyses to identify growth and efficiency opportunities, triggered through business needs or pro-active initiatives (e.g., customer behaviour, pet health engagement, operational performance etc.). Contribute to the delivery of our models and predictive insights, driven by the data scientist Advise and support key stakeholders through data-driven business decisions based on these analyses. Technical Knowledge & Toolset Work with core data processes that mostly leverage the Google data stack, including BigQuery and Looker, and write more specific logic in Python for more specialized solutions." Design, build and maintain clear, reliable and up-to-date dashboards and reports within our BI Tool (Looker Studio). Build "from-scratch" dashboards when tooling is too restrictive via, for example, Streamlit, Dash, or other dashboard coding frameworks. Take ownership to make sure core company reporting is available at hand and easy to use (weekly/monthly business reviews, KPI overviews for marketing, operations, finance, product...). Work closely with our data engineer and engineering team to ensure analytical requirements are reflected in the data warehouse (BigQuery) and data pipelines (Google Workflows & dltHub) Experimentation & Impact Measurement Support A/B tests and experiments (landing pages, onboarding flows, incentives, campaigns) from hypothesis to result interpretation. Define success metrics and guardrail KPIs and quantify the business impact of initiatives. Collaboration & Governance Think from a growth perspective, look for continuous improvement while having a "can-do" mentality. Mutual learning is key in our young environment. By supporting and guiding teammates continuously, while staying open to learn through collaboration as well. Document logic and definitions in collaboration with the rest of the team so everyone speaks the same "data language". Flag data quality issues, help prioritise fixes and contribute test cases. Seek alignment through data via naming conventions, definitions, etc., while keeping the importance of communication in mind. Job requirements Who are you technically?4–5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst / BI Analyst, preferably in e-commerce, subscription or digital product environments. You are proficient in SQL and have experience with the usage of our tech setup or comparable tools (Such as but not limited to BigQuery, dbt, dltHub, LookerStudio, Streamlit, ...). While knowledge of Python or R for deeper analysis is a plus. Solid understanding of digital & marketing analytics (GA4, Meta/Google Ads data, attribution, funnels, cohorts, retention, CAC vs CLTV). Familiarity with modern data stack concepts is a plus. Who are you as a colleague? Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills; able to go from vague questions to clear, structured insights. Driving projects and business value in a fast-moving scale-up by great prioritising comes naturally to you. Excellent communication skills – you can tell a clear story with numbers, both in slides and in meetings. Business-oriented mindset: you care about impact, not just dashboards, and you can translate data into concrete actions. Proactive, curious and autonomous; you spot opportunities, challenge assumptions and suggest improvements. Enjoy working cross-functionally with marketing, product, operations, finance and tech. Education Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
