Are you passionate about automation and project management? Our client, a leader in industrial solutions and automation, is looking for a PLC Project Engineer to manage industrial automation projects from design to commissioning. In this role, you will ensure technical excellence, financial control, and organizational success throughout the project lifecycle. Your Responsibilities Analyze technical and contractual documentation and report any changes (equipment, man-hours, subcontracting) to the Sales Department and Contract Manager for approval. Oversee the full execution of projects on-site, from preparation to final acceptance. Guarantee compliance with quality standards, internal procedures, and customer requirements. Coordinate, supervise, and plan the work of internal teams and subcontractors. Manage technical, financial, and organizational aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, deadlines, and resources. Identify deviations (costs, schedule, execution) and propose corrective actions in collaboration with the Contract Manager and Sales Department. Organize and lead site meetings, maintain clear communication with customers and stakeholders, and respond promptly to inquiries. Conduct site visits before and during execution to anticipate technical and safety constraints. Ensure feasibility of work under safe conditions and strict compliance with VCA/HSE rules. Monitor worked hours, deliveries, and validate subcontractor invoices. Supervise acceptance of work (tests, trials, cabling, installation) and prepare handover reports with subcontractors and customers. Perform commissioning of PLC installations. Compile as-built documentation and ensure complete project handover to after-sales service. Create and monitor project planning and task allocation via ERP systems, ensuring regular reporting to customers and internal teams. Contribute to training and support for PLC colleagues. Act proactively in critical situations and deliver effective solutions. Your Profile Degree in automation, electromechanics, industrial electricity, or equivalent. Strong knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of AutoCAD and Navision is an asset. Experience in technical project management and coordination of field teams. Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills. Strong analytical mindset, sense of responsibility, and ability to delegate. Effective communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively. Fluency in French; knowledge of English and Dutch is an asset. Mandatory certifications: VCA (Responsible), BA4/BA5. Valid category B driving license required. Knowledge of fire detection and suppression systems is an asset. MEWP (aerial platform) and working-at-height permits are assets.
