Cohabs is a fast-growing co-living startup with over 3,500 bedrooms in Brussels, New York, Washington D.We raised more than 200M€ and are now setting up a proper in-house tech team to support our growth. Check our videos to get a real feel for what we do.
We are looking for a full-stack engineer with strong product thinking, UX/UI affinity, and AI expertise who can own features end-to-end, from conception through design, implementation, and launch.
You'll work hand-in-hand with our Product Department, acting as the technical counterpart who bridges engineering and product. Given that we're a new team, you are expected to have an impact from day one.
You will lead our first AI-driven project, designed to transform the daily experiences of both our members and employees — collaborating closely with product, design, and stakeholders to ensure we ship solutions that are both technically sound and delightful to use.
The ideal candidate is autonomous, driven, and genuinely excited about crafting exceptional user experiences. We expect a high level of attention to detail, strong judgment on UX/UI trade-offs, and the ability to balance speed with quality.
Own features end-to-end: from discovery and scoping through design, implementation, testing, and launch
Build with quality: write clean, testable code with comprehensive unit tests; Lead by example: participate in technical reviews, contribute to architecture and design decisions, and help build a strong engineering culture
5+ years of relevant work experience, ideally shipping products at scale
~ Strong UX/UI affinity: you care deeply about design, usability, and crafting delightful user experiences; Collaborative spirit: you thrive working closely with Product teams, translating user needs into technical solutions
~ Strong experience with React, React Native, Node.js, TypeScript, and REST APIs
~ Previous experience at a fast-paced tech startup (bonus: experience shipping AI features)
~ Full working proficiency in English
~ BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience
