Information Security Officer (payroll) Are you ready to take ownership of information security within an organization that's reshaping its digital future? Our client, a respected player in the financial services sector, is seeking an Information Security Officer who can translate strategy into tangible action and ensure that security remains a cornerstone of their operations. The Role As Information Security Officer, you'll design, implement, and continuously refine the organization's Information Security Management Framework. Your mission: protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets in full compliance with European standards such as DORA and GDPR, while aligning with internal group policies. Your Responsibilities Lead the ISO Office and collaborate closely with IT, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders. Act as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors and regulators. Develop and maintain information security policies aligned with Belgian and EU regulations. Promote a strong security culture through targeted training and awareness initiatives. Conduct risk assessments, oversee vulnerability management, and ensure continuous compliance with internal and external standards. Lead the incident response framework and coordinate corrective and preventive actions. Monitor and report on control effectiveness, risks, and incidents to senior management. Contribute to the organization's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning to ensure resilience across operations. Your Profile Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Cyber security, or equivalent experience. Solid knowledge of ISO/IEC 2700x standards, DORA, GDPR, and data protection principles. Experience with internal audits and regulatory interactions. Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French. Autonomous yet collaborative mindset. Clear communicator with sound judgement and discretion. Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable under pressure.
