This growing start-up in the Flemish Region is hiring a permanent Machine Learning Engineer to help turn ideas into production systems that customers actually use. You won't be buried in process, stuck doing research for research's sake, or boxed into a narrow corporate role. Instead, your work will ship, scale, and directly shape the product. Why This Role Will Move Your Career Forward You'll own machine learning systems end to end, from problem definition to deployment — which means faster growth and deeper technical confidence. You'll work in a small, ambitious team, so your decisions matter and your contributions are visible. You'll spend your time building and shipping, not navigating layers of approval or writing PowerPoints. You'll gain broad technical exposure by working across the stack in a fast-moving environment. The Role You'll join a hands-on product team and play a key role in building and deploying machine learning solutions that solve real problems. The company moves quickly and values engineers who take ownership, think pragmatically, and enjoy being involved beyond a strict 9–5 when needed. This is a role for someone who wants to make an impact now, not wait years for influence. What They're Looking For Around 5 years of experience in machine learning or a closely related role Clear evidence you've built and shipped real products A hands-on, product-driven engineer who enjoys ownership and problem-solving Someone motivated by building, improving, and taking responsibility Comfortable with the flexibility of start-up life (including occasional longer days) Experience outside of rigid corporate environments Practical experience over academic focus Tech-stack agnostic — capability and mindset matter more than tools Based in Belgium (required) Nice to Have English and Dutch A good sense of humour — the team is smart, driven, and human Location & Setup Hybrid working: 3 days from home, 2 days in the office Permanent role only Why Join?
