QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER - LEUVEN REGION (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION The Quality Control Engineer – Electronics Products is responsible for ensuring that electronic products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance throughout their entire lifecycle, from design and development through manufacturing and field support. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity, minimizing defects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across design, manufacturing, and supply chain processes. The Quality Control Engineer collaborates closely with R&D, manufacturing, testing, and supply chain teams to embed quality into every stage of the product lifecycle. This includes reviewing design specifications, supporting new product introductions, performing audits and inspections, managing supplier quality, analyzing failure data, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). The role requires a balance of technical expertise in electronics products, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and enhance product reliability. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to driving a culture of quality excellence. Key Responsibilities Define, implement, and maintain quality standards, processes, and procedures for electronics products Review design specifications, product requirements, and manufacturing processes to ensure quality and reliability considerations are incorporated early Support new product introduction (NPI) projects with quality input, including risk analysis and design for manufacturability (DFM) guidance Develop and maintain quality documentation, such as inspection plans, test procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications Conduct in-process inspections, final inspections, and audits of electronic assemblies and components Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify defects, analyze trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Support supplier quality management, including audits, performance evaluation, and resolution of quality issues Participate in product validation and reliability testing, analyzing results to ensure products meet performance and durability requirements Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations, implementing design or process improvements as needed Collaborate with engineering teams to define and execute test plans that ensure robust verification of electronics products Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field Experience in quality control or quality assurance for electronics product development or manufacturing Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including PCB assembly, soldering, and component testing Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills Proficiency with quality tools and software (FMEA, SPC, Minitab, Jira, or similar) Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions The Offer: A permanent, full-time employment contract A salary & benefits package commensurate with experience Please send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
