We're Hiring: Technical Designer / Tech Lead Brussels | Start date : ASAP | English fluent + good French (and ideally good Dutch) We are looking for an experienced Technical Designer / Tech Lead to join an IT Employee Benefits team as part of a large-scale application modernization program. Your Mission You will play a key role in redesigning and rebuilding legacy applications into a modern technology stack. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help capture existing capabilities and translate them into scalable, high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities Coach and support an offshore design & development team Co-create and review technical design deliverables Perform code reviews to ensure high quality from both technical and design perspectives Collaborate with business analysts and solution architects on system design Design and develop specific system features Support system testing and user acceptance testing Promote best practices such as clean architecture, DDD, and design patterns Technical Skills (Mandatory) Strong experience with Object-Oriented Programming (.NET Core) Design and implementation of RESTful APIs (resource-based approach) Hands-on experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD) Application design using Clean Architecture Knowledge of event-driven architecture UML modeling and relational database design Nice to Have Microsoft Azure Service Bus Kubernetes Experience in Insurance, Employee Benefits, Healthcare, or Financial services Soft Skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong analytical mindset Quality-driven and detail-oriented Proactive, structured, and autonomous Team player with a coaching mindset Profile University degree or Professional Bachelor Mid-level experience (2–5 years) in a similar role
