You will work in a cross-functional squad responsible for critical customer-facing products within a large-scale enterprise IT landscape. The team focuses on building and evolving digital solutions used across multiple channels and business lines, with a strong emphasis on back-end development, integrations, and modernisation . #128188; Your mission As a senior back-end developer, you will: Maintain and further develop existing Java applications Build new back-end services and applications Migrate legacy applications to newer versions and architectures Work on integrations with third-party providers Translate business requirements into clean, high-quality code Design, build and maintain performant and reliable Java applications using Spring Write unit tests and ensure robustness, performance and scalability Actively participate in code reviews, refactoring and CI/CD practices #129504; Your profile Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as a Java Developer Strong professional knowledge of English (Dutch and/or French is a plus) Solid experience with: Java, Spring, Maven RESTful APIs Oracle DB OO principles, SOLID, DDD and design patterns Hands-on experience with: Git, CI/CD pipelines Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, Nexus IQ (or similar tools) Test Driven Development #128257; Agile mindset You thrive in a Scrum/Agile environment and believe in: Team success over individual heroics Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement Pair programming and constructive code reviews Transparency, feedback and adaptability #129309; Soft skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Able to challenge requirements from a technical perspective Proactive, accountable and comfortable taking the lead when needed Committed to long-term collaboration within a team #128205; Location: Brussels #129534; Contract: Freelance #128187; Role: Java Back-end Developer
