KBC werkt aan het verwezenlijken van de droom van onze klanten, bij KBC Verzekeringen zorgen we ervoor dat de risico's van die droom ingedekt zijn. Om de risico's van de klant in te kunnen dekken moeten we de continuïteit van KBC Verzekeringen waarborgen door eveneens waakzaam te zijn voor onze bedrijfseigen risico's.
De operationele omgeving (processen, documenten, systemen) moeten namelijk betrouwbaar zijn voor onze klanten en compliant met de geldende regelgeving .

Functieomschrijving

Als eerstelijns risk management controleer en challenge je de kwaliteit in de business. Je identificeert de mogelijke tekortkomingen en daarmee gepaard gaande risico's. Je bekijkt samen met business mitigerende maatregelen. Je monitort de risico's en audit-aanbevelingen. Hierover rapporteer je aan het management. Bij de ontwikkeling van nieuwe producten of bij een nieuwe samenwerking met interne of externe partijen is het aan jou om een goede risico-inschatting te maken van de operationele risico's. Je geeft ook ondersteuning aan collega’s in de business. Op die manier bouw je mee aan een hoger risico-bewustzijn van onze medewerkers.


Daarnaast worden groepswijde regels geïmplementeerd op basis van verschillende regelgevende instanties, zowel Europese als Belgische regelgeving. Al deze zaken hoef je niet alleen te overwaken. Daarvoor krijg je ondersteuning van de LORM/CORM Community waarvan je onderdeel zal zijn. Je kan ook terugvallen op een breed intern netwerk van experten binnen compliance & risk. Met hen werk je veel samen, zowel op niveau BU België als op groepsniveau. Het is wel aan jou om deze regels en frameworks binnen KBC Verzekeringen te helpen implementeren.

Profiel

Om de bedrijfseigen risico’s in te kunnen schatten helpt het om een gezonde dosis risicobewustzijn te bezitten. Dit wil zeggen dat je op basis van de veelheid aan gegevens, die enige complexiteit hebben, een analyse kan maken waarbij je inzicht hebt in de mogelijke bijbehorende risico's. Dit wil niet zeggen dat je alle inhoudelijke kennis nodig hebt. Daarvoor kan je ook terugvallen op collega’s in 2LoD (second line of defense), risk en compliance. Het niet altijd hebben van alle kennis helpt soms om kritisch in vraag te stellen. Je hebt vanzelfsprekend wel de affiniteit met risico denken nodig.

Tussen business, groei en risicobewustzijn zit een natuurlijk spanningsveld om beide in een gezonde balans te houden. We hebben namelijk business nodig om te groeien, risico-bewustzijn om solide te blijven en beide om future-proof te zijn In die synergie heeft ieder zijn eigen rol en daar kun jij een wezenlijke deel aan bijdragen. Als LORM/CORM ben je namelijk de liaison tussen business en management enerzijds en tussen KBC Verzekeringen en KBC Group anderzijds.


Je durft kritisch te zijn naar je peers en je durft tegelijkertijd het senior management van KBC Verzekeringen NV te challengen . Zij verwachten namelijk van jou een constructieve, maar zeker ook een nieuwsgierige en kritische houding.
Dit alles maakt de omgeving van een LORM/CORM echt super uitdagend . Als LORM/CORM voel jij je als een vis in het water om, in samenwerking, tot gedragen en pragmatische oplossingen te komen.
