IT SECURITY IAM ACTIVE DIRECTORY CERTIFICATION On behalf of our clients operating in the public sector in Brussels, we are seeking an experienced Security Engineer specialized in IAM to join a dynamic team responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing identity and access management solutions across complex, high-security environments. You will play a key role in designing and implementing advanced IAM security solutions, including automated access controls and intelligent identity workflows, strengthen risk management, ensure compliance, and enhance operational resilience across the organization. Tasks: Manage the full identity lifecycle (user onboarding, role changes, offboarding) and ensure correct access provisioning across systems. Administer and maintain IAM platforms and tools (SSO, MFA, directory services, RBAC/PAM), including integration of new applications. Monitor IAM infrastructure, resolve incidents, and provide operational support for authentication and access-related issues. Conduct regular access reviews and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and banking/security regulations. Improve IAM processes through automation, optimization, and documentation of standards and procedures. Collaborate with security teams, application owners, and various stakeholders to ensure access rights align with business needs and security requirements. Profile: You have at least 5 years of experience in an IT Security role, with a strong specialization in Identity & Access Management and a clear understanding of its strategic impact on business security, ideally in the banking or public sector. Expertise in IAM governance, including access configuration, monitoring, exception handling, and translating technical risks into business-focused recommendations. Strong knowledge of risk management, incident handling, and continuous improvement practices, ideally within regulated or high-security environments. Good understanding of core IT infrastructure, including operating systems, networks, directory services, and authentication frameworks; relevant IT or security certifications are considered an asset. Fluent in English, with proficiency in one of the local languages (French or Dutch). What we offer: All our offers are open both for freelancers or permanent contracts for long-term missions.
