afarax is looking for a freelance Senior Project Manager. We need you The project: Our client in the utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to strengthen their team. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with strong expertise in the energy sector to lead a strategic initiative that will shape the future of the Belgian and European energy landscape. In this role, you will operate in a complex stakeholder environment, collaborating with regulators, DSOs, and internal teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of critical projects. Your mission will involve steering the creation of a new company, overseeing legal, regulatory, and financial tracks, and ensuring compliance with all relevant frameworks. You will act as SPOC, safeguarding the client's priorities in the implementation roadmap of external vendors and driving the delivery of the T/DSO common tooling roadmap. This includes facilitating executive-level alignment on strategic decisions, considering upcoming challenges such as congestion management and flexibility in the energy system. As a Product Owner, you will follow up on day-to-day activities of internal implementation team, manage dependencies, and involve product managers where needed. Additionally, you will participate in business architecture discussions to ensure the strategic principles are embedded in all solutions. This mission requires senior project management skills, a proven ability to navigate complex environments, and a strong understanding of the energy sector. It offers a unique opportunity to contribute to transformative projects that accelerate the energy transition. Is this you? Excellent written and verbal communication in Dutch and/or French and English. Proven track record in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in the energy sector. Deep understanding of transmission and distribution system operations, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics. Ability to navigate and align diverse stakeholders, including regulators, DSOs, and executive management. Strong facilitation skills to drive consensus and alignment at executive level. Ability to act as Product Owner for internal implementation tracks. Comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment with regulatory, legal, and financial complexities. How afarax supports you?
