We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to support several ongoing digital initiatives for our client in Brussels. The consultant will work across multiple policy-driven IT projects, taking ownership of functional and business analysis activities. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in translating requirements into clear specifications, and the ability to guide teams towards high-quality solution delivery. Project info: Duration: Close to 1 year to begin with Working style: Hybrid Work location: Brussels Responsibilities: Conduct end-to-end business and functional analyses for complex policy-related applications. Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions and translate business needs into clear documentation and functional designs. Develop mockups, UML diagrams, BPMN flows and other analysis artefacts. Collaborate closely with development teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity. Perform functional testing of new and enhanced solutions prior to release. Support Agile delivery processes, including backlog refinement and sprint ceremonies. Drive process optimisation initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement. Work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in business and functional analysis. Strong command of UML, mockups/wireframing tools and other analysis techniques. Solid knowledge of SQL, Oracle, database design methods (ERD) and web application analysis/testing. Experience with Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum) and familiarity with BPMN. Experience as a Scrum Master is considered an asset. Knowledge of tools such as Balsamiq, Bizagi Modeler, Microsoft Team Foundation Server is a plus. Proven experience in business process optimisation. Strong stakeholder-management capabilities. Understanding of project management aspects such as planning, estimation and coordination. Fluent in Dutch
