Mechanical Design Engineer – Biomedical Sector | Antwerp Region Are you a creative mechanical engineer with a passion for innovation and precision design? I'm currently supporting a leading biomedical organization in the Antwerp region that's looking to strengthen its R&D and product development team with a Mechanical Design Engineer. About the Role In this position, you'll be responsible for the conceptual and detailed design of mechanical components and assemblies used in advanced biomedical devices. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, from electronics and software to clinical specialists, to bring new medical technologies from concept to market. Key responsibilities include: Developing and optimizing 3D models and technical drawings. Translating functional requirements into robust, manufacturable designs. Supporting prototyping, testing, and validation activities. Contributing to continuous improvement in design methodologies and materials. Profile Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar. 2–5 years of experience in mechanical or product design (medical device experience is a strong plus). Solid experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor). Knowledge of tolerancing, materials, and manufacturing processes. Fluent in English (Dutch and/or French are a plus).
