Port of Antwerp-Bruges International ( PoABI ) is een dochterbedrijf van Port of Antwerp-Bruges, met als missie het uitbouwen van een wereldwijd havennetwerk ter versterking van de beide havenplatformen in Antwerpen en Brugge. Dit doen we via training, consultancy, management en investeringsprojecten. Zo is PoABI actief als medeaandeelhouder in de havens van Duqm (Oman), Porto do Açu (Brazilië), Lumut (Maleisië), alsook terminal- en logistieke activiteiten in San Pedro (Ivoorkust). Daarnaast beheert PoABI ook de haven van Cotonou voor rekening van de Beninese overheid.
 
Functieomschrijving Ben jij een ervaren health & safety-expert met een hart voor duurzame ontwikkeling? Wil jij je inzetten voor internationale projecten die een blijvende, positieve impact hebben op de gezondheid en het welzijn van mensen wereldwijd? Jouw uitdaging PoABI, een dochterbedrijf van Port of Antwerp-Bruges kent een sterke groei en wil graag het team uitbreiden. We zijn op zoek naar een health & safety expert. 

Je werkt nauw samen met het Health & Safety-team van de betrokken haven om systemen voor gezondheid en veiligheid op de werkvloer te ontwerpen, implementeren en monitoren. Daarnaast begeleid je de haven bij de voorbereiding op externe audits, geheel in lijn met de ISO 45001-norm
Je volgt de veiligheid op werven in havens in het buitenland op en zorgt ervoor dat werkzaamheden volgens de hoogste veiligheidsstandaarden worden uitgevoerd
Daarnaast fungeer je als incidentcoördinator en zorg je voor een gestructureerde aanpak om risico's te beheersen en toekomstige incidenten te voorkomen
Vanuit je brede havendomeinkennis coördineer je consultancyprojecten voor zowel private als publieke klanten, bewaak je de scope, het budget en de planning, en fungeer je als aanspreekpunt
In je commerciële rol vertegenwoordig je PoABI in de projecten en regio's, bouw je een netwerk op en identificeer je nieuwe commerciële kansen
Voor APEC-Antwerp/Flanders Port Training Center geef je als expert trainingen aan internationale professionals
Je vaste werklocatie is het Havenhuis in Antwerpen, maar je werkt regelmatig in het buitenland. De opdrachten zijn kortlopend en vinden voornamelijk plaats buiten Europa, gemiddeld ben je 1 week per maand in het buitenland.
Je hebt een bachelor of masterdiploma, bij voorkeur in een health & safety-gerelateerde richting, of je hebt gelijkwaardige ervaring. Indien je over een certificaat als preventie-adviseur of een ander health & safety certificaat beschikt is dit een pluspunt
Nautische kennis of ervaring op een terminal is een sterk pluspunt
Daarnaast ben je bekend met Europese en internationale arbeids- en veiligheidsstandaarden
Talenkennis is essentieel: je spreekt en schrijft vloeiend Nederlands, Frans en Engels.

PoABI is ook actief als mede-aandeelhouder van de haven van Duqm in Oman en Porto do Açu in Brazilië, en beheert de haven van Cotonou in Benin. Daarnaast verkent PoABI voortdurend nieuwe opportuniteiten om haar internationale aanwezigheid uit te breiden.
