At VILS, we drive innovation in Life Sciences and Novel Foods by designing and constructing state-of-the-art lab's and cleanrooms. As an international partner, we design, lead and supervise investment projects from process analysis to fully functional labs and cleanrooms - ensuring every facility is perfectly aligned with the production processes. The role We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex lab and cleanroom projects from concept to completion. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while leading multidisciplinary teams and building strong client relationships. Projects are mainly based in Belgium and the DACH region. Key responsibilities Your role will include: Defining and maintaining a clear project scope. Developing and monitoring project schedules, from initial concept through to completion, and ensuring timely delivery of critical milestones. Creating, monitoring and steering budgets and forecasts ensuring that expenditures align with the project. Select and manage resources, suppliers and assets confirming that the project is well-equipped to meet goals. Managing risks and change requests with a proactive and structured approach. Preparing proposals for EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) and EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) projects, both standard commercial offers and formal RFP quotes. Building trust with clients, presenting compelling value propositions, and negotiating win–win agreements. Maintain clear and ongoing communication with all stakeholders, throughout the project lifecycle, including the own team. You will be working mainly on projects based in Belgium and DACH-region. Requirements To excel in the role of Project Manager, you should possess the following qualifications: Proven project management experience in the early phase of engineering projects, ideally EPC/EPCM. Hands-on experience with scope definition, scheduling, and critical-path management in complex projects. A strong track record in commercial awareness, effective negotiation, and client relationship management. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to develop commercial offers for EPC(M) projects, including RFP. Full proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Dutch is considered an asset, and proficiency in German is regarded as a strong advantage. Safety training or strong safety awareness is essential, along with a strong commitment to upholding safety standards. Willing to travel (~30% on-site) for project execution and coordination.
