Description
As **Junior Accountant**, you are responsible for daily financial and accounting tasks within all areas of our department: accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, fixed assets, stock and general ledger. You maintain and create master data ensuring a proper documentation. You manage our mailbox and you are a point of contact. You are eager to learn and open to work within this broad scope. As a team player, you support the accounting team to get the job done.
Responsabilités
**General**
- Reconciliation of ledger accounts (including VAT related accounts)
- Understanding of the differences between the different ledgers and accounting flows
- Back-up for colleagues within the Finance team
**Accounts Payable & Receivable**
- Maintain AP / AR balances (clearing, corrections, reconciliations)
- Processing of manual outgoing invoices / credit notes
- Ensure completeness of balances
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centres by analysing invoices or expense notes
**Treasury**
- Treatment of Coda
- Creation of payment runs and manual payments
**Payroll**
- Monthly processing of payroll booking details
**Fixed Assets**
- Monthly processing of fixed assets (such as acquisition, disposal and scrapping)
- Run or manually calculate depreciation
- Reconciliation of the different fixed assets subledgers to the general ledgers
**Inventory**
- Monthly processing of shrink & stock recordings
- Ad hoc preparation of journal entries
- Reconciliation of inventory related accounts
**Various**
- Ensure accurate, efficient & timely processing of transactions (preparing, coding, booking and verification) such as: recurring monthly provisions, accrued & deferred charges, reclasses of debit/credit balances.
Exigences obligatoires
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
- You are a real team player and you have the ability to work independently.
- You are process oriented and precise.
- You are reliable.
- You are curious, pragmatic, solution-driven.
- You have good Excel skills and are system-minded.
- SAP knowledge is an asset.
- You are fluent in Dutch and French; English is an asset.
