UITP (International Association of Public Transport) is a passionate champion of sustainable urban mobility and is the only worldwide network to bring together all public transport stakeholders and all sustainable transport modes. We have more than 1,900 member companies coming from over 100 countries. Our members are public transport authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, research institutes and the public transport supply and service industry.

We are currently looking for a: Project Manager

The Project Manager will be part of the Mobility Enablers Unit at the Knowledge and Innovation Department at UITP.

He/She will be responsible for the project management activities linked to thematic areas Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) and Information Technology (IT).

This includes, in particular, project management activities in the large scale collaborative project SHOW funded by the European Commission, and the contribution to other running CCAM related projects.

He/She is responsible for the daily project management activities and the interaction with the project partners.

He/She will work closely with the CCAM Senior Manager, and other K&I managers and He/She reports directly to the Head of the Unit.

**Main Duties**

Main Tasks
- Project management of the EU-funded project SHOW, coordinated by UITP. This mainly includes the day-by-day operational management of the project with the support of the financial officer;
- Manage and/or support other ongoing CCAM and IT knowledge projects;
- Support UITP knowledge and research in urban CCAM topics, conciliating the needs and the expectations of the sector with UITP’s strategy and expectations of all stakeholders;
- Facilitate the exchange of information and knowledge about CCAM and IT between Projects, UITP bodies and members worldwide, by producing high-quality deliverables and technical/administrative reports, and identifying opportunities to promote and share this information;
- Ensure that knowledge and research output related to CCAM and IT projects contribute to create added value services to the direct benefits of UITP members (e.g. events and trainings) and answer the priorities of the UITP Integrated Global Work Programme;
- Timely and correct implementation of administrative tasks as requested by UITP governance processes (budget, timesheets, BdC, project cases, capacity plan) and activity financial management (financial statements, invoices, etc.);
- Conception, organisation, and management of workshops, meetings with sectoral stakeholders, with the subsequent collection and consolidation of outputs, agreements, and takeaways, to be reflected in the project reports and deliverables;
- Preparation of new project proposals, from proposal preparation to execution, including budget and resources forecast and management, content production, communication and dissemination activities in collaboration with the Communication department;
- Manage the relationship with several key accounts of premium members;
- Cooperate with other K&I managers towards UITP’s goals;
- Support the Mobility Enablers Head of Unit;
- Cooperate with the Director and Deputy Directors of Department;
- Adhere to the UITP RISE values (Respect, Innovation, Sharing, Expertise), internal code of conduct, and on the principles of caring management;
- Implement the UITP RISE values in day-to-day activities: share information with UITP colleagues to facilitate synergies and avoid duplications; collaborate in activity definition and implementation; delegate tasks with trust on expertise of others'.
- In team or project management, this implies providing the employees with guidance, leadership and support, ensuring their development and well-being, while being responsible for enforcing corporate policies and procedures standards.

**Profile**
- University degree
- This position requires solid knowledge of and experience in project management processes, preferably with reference to EU-funded projects.
- High level of leadership, consensus-building and diplomatic skills in a sensitive environment to conciliate the different interests of the actors and ensure a smooth, timely and successful implementation of the project’s objectives.
- Strong interest for Public Transport and sustainable mobility, knowledge and experience in the field of CCAM and IT projects.
- Excellent written and spoken English, other languages are an asset.
- Capability to work both in team but also autonomously.
- Pro-active and problem-solving attitude.
- Stress-resistant and ability to work under pressure.
- Readiness to travel.
- Integrity and professionalism.
