As an insurance firm we simply couldn’t function without our highly valued underwriters. We’re looking for a (junior) War underwriter to join our specialist team and growing portfolio. As part of MS Amlin Marine NV there will be regular interaction across all European locations.

About The Job

What you’ll spend your time doing:
here’s a snapshot of some of the key parts of the job:

- Support the Underwriter in business development opportunities and target potential new clients, brokers and products
- Perform risk analysis and make sound underwriting decisions with a focus on long term and sustainability
- Provide underwriting support such as client screening, renewal preparation, use of technical pricing model and data entry
- Develop strong, effective relationships with existing brokers and clients
- Actively participating and knowledge sharing at inhouse and external activities, groups and committees
- Support the risk screening process to ensure risks are written within the agreed parameters and in compliance with relevant risk, regulatory and legal requirements

What you’ll need:
For this particular role there are some important qualifications and experience we need you to have. These include:

- First experience in property insurance underwriting (from broker or corporate side)
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English plus one additional language (French or Dutch or German)
- Higher education (Bsc/Msc) preferred or equivalent relevant work experience
