**Functiebeschrijving**
Als Database Administrator sta je in voor het beheer van de verschillende databases op vlak van performantie, bewaring, kwaliteit, beveiliging, beschikbaarheid en coherentie voor de domeinen MS SQL Server en IBM DB2.
Concreet zorg je voor het functioneel design, dit wil zeggen de creatie, het onderhoud en de wijzigingen van een coherent datamodel. Daarnaast verzeker je het fysieke datamodel van een toepassing. Je ondersteunt de ontwikkelaars bij eventuele problemen met betrekking tot een datamodel.
Bovendien sta je in voor het dagelijks operationeel beheer van de databanken zoals het monitoren van de performantie, het opvolgen van back-up en restore procedures, de beveiliging, de installaties, de configuraties en deployments.
Je draagt bij tot de evolutie en standaardisering van onze infrastructuur door projecten uit te werken betreffende het ontwikkelen van een archiveringsstrategie, de opvolging van DBMS-versies,...
**Profiel**
Je beschikt over een bachelor of master in de informatica.
Je hebt minstens 5 jaren ervaring als database administrator van MS SQL en/of IBM DB2 LUW. Je hebt tevens een mooie ervaring opgedaan in data modellering en je hebt ruime praktijkervaring in het gebruik van T-SQL.
Je bent in staat de impact van de GDPR-regelgeving toe te passen op het ontwerp en beheer van de databanken.
Je geeft blijk van efficiëntie bij het uitwerken van opdrachten. Je bent verantwoordelijk, flexibel en weet projecten gestructureerd en georganiseerd aan te pakken. Je bent in staat om zelfstandig te werken en de rol van expert uit te voeren in je domein.
Je hebt oog voor een nauwkeurige aanpak en stelt de kwaliteit van je werk voorop.
Je werkt graag in een team en je deelt graag je kennis.
