UI Specialist

**UI Specialist**:

Happy Volcano is looking for a (Unity) **UI specialist** to complement our team; to work on our current game “You Suck At Parking”, as well as other future projects.
Do you know how to implement complex layouts for different resolutions? Create responsive UI for dynamic or localized content? Know what to do when fonts display blurry?
More than the technical implementation, we would highly appreciate your creative input as well. We're looking for someone who has a feel for user experience and can create new screens from mockups, existing designs and style guides.
Being able to design UI from scratch would be a major plus.
You will be a respected and crucial part of our team.

**Responsibilities**
- Implement UI with pixel perfect eye for detail
- You'll be the guardian of consistency throughout the game's UI
- Optimize fonts for localization
- Adjusting UI elements for different platforms
- We're a small studio and value collaboration across teams and disciplines. You'll be expected to work well with the whole team.
- You'll be a proactive and positive contributor and support your team.

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of professional experience as a Unity UI specialist
- Excited about clean design and elegant user experiences
- You know how to optimize UI for performance
- Enough C# programming knowledge to implementing basic functionality or set up dynamic layouts
- You’re an excellent communicator
- You are able to legally work full-time in Belgium or full-time contract work from your country of residence
- You are able to work remotely during core Central European Time

**Nice to have**
- Excellent UI design skills
- Experience with different platforms
- Familiarity with agile practices
