Infrastructure Monitoring Technician

The position will require an individual to:

- Management of alerts raised by monitoring systems according to standard operating procedures
- Perform scheduled health checks of defined IT components
- Log and update all alerts and incidents in the ticketing tool
- Work autonomously in shifts in a 24*7 environment
- Take part of scheduled interventions and system acceptance testing
- Review technical documentation and contribute to the on-going improvement of the working procedures

Required competence, experience and education
- 1+ year of experience providing IT support.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills that includes hardware, software, and other break/fix issues which might include printing, networking, file shares, etc.
- Proven experience of IT support in an enterprise environment
- Familiar with Unix and Windows systems
- Knowledge of scripting is a nice to have for this position
- Good Network troubleshooting skills and knowledge
- Good understanding of infrastructure support
- Ability to follow strictly operating procedures
- Ability to efficiently troubleshoot monitoring alerts and identify root causes
- Experience with ITSM tools
- Strong sense of customer service
- Good organizational skills
- Technical degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to multi-task
- Team-oriented / team player / ability to share ideas as well as listen to ideas
- Some experience with support and administration of communication systems
- Language requirements: English (French or Flemish is an asset)
