Our client is a fast growing company active in the **insurance sector**.
As **Financial Reporting Analyst **you will be **responsible** for:
- The job entails principally, but not exclusively, under the supervision of the Group head of general accounting and reporting;
- Organize, plan, execute, and control the quality of the monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting of EH SA and its subsidiaries; this includes the reporting to EH group, to AZ and to the NBB;
- Liaison with EH competence centers is key;
- Liaise with auditors, answer their questions, resolve issues;
- Manage the relationship with AZ, resolve errors in the reporting, and answer questions;
- Maintain knowledge of local GAAP's, control and validate BGAAP's adjustments;
- Manage the production and the quality controls of the corprate tax return of the Belgian entities; ensure adequate reporting of the tax position and risks to EH group and Allianz;
- Coordinate the monthly VAT returns of the European EHSA entities with the Deloitte competence center;
- Work on permanent improvement of the reporting processes;
- Answer ad hoc questions.
The required **profile** for the **Financial Reporting Analyst **position:
- Degree in accounting, economics or equivalent;
- At least 5 years of experience in the accounting department of a multinational firm;
- Understanding of the insurance industry, its business, and its regulatory environment;
- Deep knowledge of accounting rules and practices applicable to insurance companies;
- Deep knowledge of IFRS and BEGAAP's;
- Familiarity with accounting (SAP) and reporting (Finance+) tools, and willingness to learn;
- Knowledge of English and French or Dutch;
- Ability to interact with colleagues on a remote basis;
- Autonomy and ability to solve problems;
- Ability to identify issues and escalate them on time.
