As an essential member of the European Logistics shared services team, you will be responsible for leading Lubrizol's import logistics and improving the reliability of inbound shipments. You will also be responsible for monitoring demurrage and detention, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting regional projects across business segments.

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 3 years of logistics operations/procurement experience and prior experience in managing carriers and warehouses. You should also possess strong interpersonal skills and professionalism, as you will be regularly interfacing with logistics team members and internal customers and business partners. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, prioritization, organization, and follow-through are essential. Your team is based both in Rouen, France and in Brussels, Belgium.

As an
**Import Logistics Specialist **your day will be filled with being responsible for setting up processes and procedures for inbound logistics operations, ensuring full release of cargo, monitoring shipments for arrival, and minimizing the time of the product left sitting at EU ports or storage yards. You will also lead dray carrier's performance and identify areas for improvement, provide operation metrics on import logistics activities, and drive actions to accelerate material movement to reduce cycle time. In addition, you will be responsible for reducing detention on Lubrizol import shipments and leading carrier service and issue resolution.

To excel in this role, you should possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, be enthusiastic, diplomatic, and possess the ability to adapt to change. You should also have demonstrated proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools and possess the behavioral competencies of being analytical, result-oriented, open in your communication and have the ability to influence and establish trust internally as well as externally.
