**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:
The Senior Payroll Coordinator Is part of the L-A-B Payroll team. The role is responsible for the end-to-end processing of the monthly payrolls for all Brussels paid employees and coordinating with external stakeholders and providers. The role will also work with finance, benefits and HR teams to collaborate across functions and ensure operational efficiencies and robust controls throughout the processes. The role will be based in the Brussels' office and reports to the Payroll Manager.
You will be responsible for:
Payroll
- Be responsible for the end-to-end PAYE payroll workflow for 2 Belgian entities including:
- Liaise with Partena consultants to process the monthly payroll (In house & Front office)
- Full Starter & Leaver processes including global transfers on Belgium payroll
- Salary Increases, Promotions & Backpay, final settlements
- Statutory & Occupational Maternity Pay schemes
- Sick leave, Unpaid leave and Flexi leave
- Bonuses & variable payments through payroll
- Order Meal vouchers
- Provide HR documents to terminated employees
- Net Salary payments file review before release
- Process the monthly payroll journal for the monthly financial close and load in BCG's accounting system; Liaising with regional office to post regional payroll journals
- Prepare the month end balance sheet reconciliations, investigating any reconciling Item
- Advise employees and stakeholders on payroll related and pension related queries
- Collaborate with teams to reconcile payroll data with HR system data on a monthly basis to maintain the payroll system & to ensure Integrity of the payroll systems and information (e.g., Employees life changes update, Bank account Information change, family ambulatory cost deduction, etc )
- Partner with financial accounting team on intercompany and secondment invoicing data
- Maintain Partena ESS holidays tool

Mobility
- Liaise with external tax advisors and tax mobility teams to prepare and collate Belgian payroll for BCG Mobility sponsored tax return
- Work closely with L-A-B mobility and tax teams on transfers and secondments impacting Belgian local payroll and BE tax.
- Manage mobility taxable benefits for declaration through payroll
- Advise employees on mobility related tax matters impacting BE payroll
- Liaising with local tax advisors to request Belgian tax regime for inpatriates plus payroll implementation.
- Support with A1/Limosa declarations for cross border staffing
Other responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Be an active discussion and thought partner with the Benefits, HR and Mobility teams.
- Work closely with external advisors (EY / PWC / GT / Pension) on processes, payments and collation of payroll data
- Provide support during internal and external audits (PAYE, tax and accounting)
- Continuously seek for process improvements and sharing of best practices
- Provide cover for other team members during absences
- Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and adhoc projects as required
- Ongoing compliance for finance minimum standards
