**YOUR TASKS**
- You dedicate a minimum of 70% of your assignment to scientific research.
- You support the research, education, and scientific services of the Business Analytics pillar within the Business Informatics research group.
- You assist in the preparation of research proposals and the initiation of research projects (e.g., applied research for Flanders Make - the strategic research centre for the manufacturing industry in Flanders).

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- You hold a doctoral degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Engineering (with a major in Business Informatics or Management Information Systems), Business Economics (with a major in Business Informatics or Management Information Systems), Information Systems Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- You obtained your doctoral degree within the last 6 years. The 6-year period is determined based on the date indicated on the aforementioned diploma and the start date of the employment contract.
- You have conducted research in Data Analytics or related fields.
- You have an interest in one or more of the following research areas: Process Mining, Text Mining (NLP), KDD, Deep Learning, Ontologies, and Knowledge Graphs.
- You have relevant scientific publications in international scientific journals or proceedings of international scientific conferences that have broad dissemination and rely on experts for the assessment of submitted manuscripts.

**WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU**
- We offer you a contract of indefinite duration with a maximum term of 2 years.
- Your contract will start on 1/02/2024 at the earliest.
- Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale PD1. Click here for more information about our salary scales.
