To expand our dispatch team in our headquarters in Geel we are seeking a proactive

**Trucking Planner**

If you have a knack for efficient planning and a keen eye for detail, this could be the role for you.

Your main tasks:

- Coordinating, adjusting, and optimizing container transport.
- Overseeing export operations.
- Filling “gaps” by ensuring empty containers are fully utilized.
- Collaborating with our sales team to “sell” or allocate empty containers.
- Monitoring pick-up and delivery schedules concerning driving and resting hours.
- Coordinating with transport planners to adjust routes and schedules to optimize combinations of loads, considering driving and resting times.
- Following up on trucks via Trimble.
- Informing the Planning and Operations department about unexpected circumstances, such as delays.
- Serving as the first point of contact for drivers/carriers along with your fellow trucking planners and assisting them with all their queries.
- Tracking trucks and drivers during the execution of their work.
- Handling the dock registrations for the vehicles you are supervising.
- Acting as the first point of contact for carrier questions and complaints.
- Building good relationships with carriers and colleagues.
- Has effective control over trucks and can proactively strategize.
- Communicates primarily with carriers.
- Speaks both Russian and English fluently.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a similar role in the transportation or logistics sector.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using tracking systems like Trimble.
- Fluency in both Russian and English.
