**Duties**:
Special events implemented include events such as Autumn Fest, Winter Fest, Easter Spring Filing, Independence Day Celebration, shows, and assisting in other program operations and activities.
- Promotes and coordinates a maximum participation recreation program on a year-round basis to support eligible personnel.
- Develops programs, which will meet participant interests and needs of team and individual activities.
- Identifies facilities, personnel and supplies required to support each program.
- Promotes, organizes and directs intramural and all-star sports programs to coincide with scheduled higher level tournaments for the same sport.
- Prepares budgets.
- Recommends new programs that are cost effective and assures that program emphasis is on those activities most appropriate to the interests of the population served.

**Requirements**:
**Conditions of Employment**:

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A probation period of one year may be required.
- Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

**Qualifications**:

- COMPLETION OF A BACHELOR'S DEGREE in general recreation; outdoor recreation; or in public, urban, or community recreation
- **OR**
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE DIRECTING ONE OR MORE RECREATION PROGRAMS.
- Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the NF-03 level. _The experience must have provided a knowledge of the goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.
