**Role**
The business controller will oversee the business and financial operations of CordenPharma Brussels. He reports to the Head of Finance locally and works in close collaboration with the corporate financial team (HQ). He will Perform financial analysis, develop financial planning processes, design and implement global business plans.
**Duties and responsibilities**
- Monthly Closing: complete the Group monitoring tool, update of budgets, encoding of hours spent and costs charged to projects, encoding of the site costs for the past month, explanation of deviations
- Monthly Reporting: Presentation to the site and business unit managers of operational results on the basis of the reporting prepared beforehand. Highlight and communicate proactively major deviations
- Weekly timesheets: ensure that the information transmitted by the various business units is complete and correct in order to be uploaded into SAP.
- Budget / Forecast: Consolidate the data provided (Cost Model) and translate the budget into the database format for reporting purposes
- Annual audit: Assist in answering auditor questions & transmit hourly rates for equipment
- Stock Management: Monthly monitoring of the stock. Implementation and follow-up of a stock control procedure with the Logistics team
- Billing Monitoring: Weekly meetings with PMO team to ensure follow up of projects and billing
- Projects Monitoring: tracking the correct use of the quotation and project tool by the business units
**Qualifications and skills**
- University Degree in Finance
- 5 years of professional experience in Finance / controlling
- Fluent in French & English (written & spoken)
- Successful experience in project controlling including CAPEX
- Broad experience in CRO/CDMO pharma industries
- Strong team player within an international and multicultural team
- Striving for results through taking ownership
- Solution focused and achievement orientated
