For our field office located in Merksem (see the map here) we’re looking for a Third-Party Works Coordinator (M/F/x).

**Your**
**responsibilities**:

- You will be responsible for the end-to-end oversight (preparation, field operations, administration, etc.) of complex works carried out by third parties near Fluxys infrastructure with a view to ensuring their safety and compliance with the applicable legal requirements
- In practice, this means that for each phase of the works (from design to implementation):

- you will collect and analyse information (design files, plans, permits, etc.) related to the works in order to identify the risks posed to Fluxys infrastructure and so draw up the specific safety rules/measures to be followed
- you will propose, if required, alternative solutions to contractors with a view to limiting the impact of works near Fluxys infrastructure
- you will assess the risks and set the safety rules to follow as well as the requirements to be met
- you will liaise with project owners, consulting engineers, contractors, public administrations and inspectors to discuss the preparation and implementation of the works and any technical problems
- you will relay to your colleagues who are responsible for the supervision of our facilities all the information relating to the execution of the work as well as the specific safety measures and requirements to be followed
- you will monitor and deal with records of works, non-conformities and aerial observations and devise corrective measures, which you will also ensure are actually applied in the field
- You will work closely with our central team in Brussels that is responsible for the administrative support associated with third-party works
- You will run awareness sessions for public authorities and other companies to inform them of the risks associated with works near our infrastructure
- You will report to the Area Manager and work under the guidance of the central team in Brussels

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience
- Approximately five years' relevant professional experience in safety, civil engineering or site coordination
- A meticulous approach to your work and a desire to learn, as well as a dynamic mindset and a sense of diplomacy
- A determination to prioritise safety
- Genuine team spirit and excellent leadership and communication skills
- A proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently and highlight opportunities for process improvement
- An excellent command of French and a basic knowledge of Dutch
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP

Additionally, this role requires:

- A willingness to ultimately be on call and on standby
- A residence within 30 minutes of our site in Merksem
- A category B driving licence and your own vehicle
