We are looking for an** R&D Assistant **to reinforce our Research & Development department in Belgium to support the development of novel treatments. This is a fixed-term** full-time position of 3 months** based in our office in Kontich.

**Your responsibilities**:

- You will support development lab activities on innovative treatments of wound and skin disorders using, but not limited to, galenics (formulation of new gels and ointments), microbiology techniques; pre-sequencing, post-sequencing, and other biotechnology techniques.
- With the support of your manager, you will contribute to the development of (pharmaceutical) formulations and execute formulation and pre-clinical specification analysis according to planning
- You will ensure that the development projects follow design and development project planning
- You will contribute to administrative tasks related to your testing
- You will assist in coordinating and monitoring analytical, chemical, physical or biological tests that are outsourced to third parties within your assigned projects

**Your qualifications & experience**:

- You have a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical and biological techniques or equivalent by experience
- You have initial topical pharmaceutical formulation product knowledge
- You have microbiological (e.g. PET, TAMC/TYMC, ) and chemical lab techniques knowledge (e.g. Elisa, HPLC, )
- You have a first experience with the formulation of semi-solids
- You have a good command of MS Office; digital savviness related to lab management, project planning and research-related software is an asset
- You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
