Lab Coordinator

**Responsibilities**:
The Engineering lab coordinator will work in collaboration with the different engineering teams, IT and global lab manager to manage and coordinate the engineering onsite lab locations hosting our current and future product hardware by
- Ensuring that the lab and related inventory is properly managed and maintained, including tidiness of rack, cabling and other hardware, and consolidation and deprecation of systems as needed.
- Working closely with hardware and software development and test teams to assist with installing iDirect product test networks.
- Maintaining and monitoring fiber and copper networks, network routers and switches, network segments, servers, etc
- Handling RMA cases for failing equipment with different vendors
- Collaborating with engineering teams and global lab management to help organize and arrange needed equipment calibration

Qualifications:

- College degree preferred, but will consider work experience (Networking Certifications Preferred)
- Background and experience as an engineering lab manager/ lab coordinator.
- 5+ years of experience in working in and managing engineering labs.
- Experience working in an agile team environment. Experience using agile tools like JIRA.
- Ability to effectively manage time and deliverables while working with engineering teams, IT and global lab management.
- Technical knowledge on
- Hardware setup and troubleshooting
- Linux environements, virtualization and administration
- Designing and maintaining networks
- Switch and router management and configuration
- Scripting and/or programming languages
- Technical knowledge that is a plus:

- Satellite network knowledge
- General rf knowledge
- Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact clearly and concisely with employees.
- Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to resolve lab issues and resolve conflicts.
