Role Overview

**We are looking for**

A Production Excellence Project Leader to lead production excellence activities (diagnostic, design, implementation, ) within the manufacturing excellence team of the Solvay Group, to support the group’s transformation, mostly in Europe, in the field of lean manufacturing, and work with Data Scientists and Production/Process/R&I Experts to build the simplest, most robust and pragmatic solutions/models to improve plant performances in all dimensions.

**We count on you for**
- To support several Global Business Units (GBUs) in assessing their operational improvement potential in Industrial Operations (OEE, Yield) as well as safety, capacity, quality consistency, resource usage, and variable and fixed costs.
- To help senior industrial management of these GBUs to define realistically challenging targets and objectives.
- To lead initial assessments and (digital) diagnostics with sites, global change leaders, and data scientists ensuring realistic potential improvement is identified.
- To develop and deploy within various manufacturing sites the change management methodology and toolbox.
- To transfer change management expertise (including toolbox & methodology) to the GBU leaders, to Middle Management, to site change leader, and to workers of the sites.
- To create the conditions to reach sustainable results and to create a mindset of continuous improvement.
- To propose the change project priorities, to ensure that staff for different projects is properly trained, to lead the projects and monitor the use of the appropriate methodologies and toolboxes, to support the change leaders on the different sites in their projects, and transfer progressively the leadership to them.
- In collaboration with Data Scientists, ensure that meaningful target functions are set to characterize problems to solve, define relevant process parameter combinations to improve model performances, and communicate in an agile way with production stakeholders to leverage all knowledge sources to improve the models built.
- In collaboration with Data Scientists and Production/Process Experts, Lead visual analytics workshop to quickly explore (very) large data sets and challenge both data science and process certainties, listening to both the ‘Voice of the Data’ and the ‘Voice of ‘Physics’.
- He will report to the Production Domain Manager within the Manufacturing Excellence team of Solvay Group.

Education and experience
- Strong technical and process expertise with 5-10 years of experience in production (process and/or manufacturing) and in change leader roles.
- Master/Engineer, preferably Chemical or Material Engineer.
