**Equans **is seeking a **Business Controller** to follow the Business of a Division (or part of a Division) within the Business Unit Smart Buildings in Brussels.
As a Business Controller, you are responsible for monitoring and analyzing the performance of the scope in charge in order to support the development of the company and its subsidiaries. You follow closely the P&L and the Cash Flow of its activities and propose actions to the management to improve them. You are in charge of the homogeneity of working methods within Equans. You are involved in all financial matters, proposes solutions or innovations to simplify processes, reduce workloads and increase productivity.
**Your responsibility**
- challenge, manage and discuss results with Operation Managers on a monthly basis
- close follow-up contract/projects performance and give support managers to improve it
- insure the billing and margin recognition of works in due time
- challenge the order intake and review periodically final estimate on projects
- set the budget and medium-term plan in close contact with the managers
- come up with ideas to improve the financial performance, reduce costs and optimize processes
- design and implement analytical dashboards
- coordinate with the other financial departments some financial requests linked to your activity sphere
**Are you our new colleague?**
- master’s degree in economics or finance
- 5-7 years’ experience in a financial function ; first experience in a big 4 or equivalent completed by experience in a major group
- knowledge of Office 365 (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- knowledge of reporting tools, such as Power BI is a plus
- knowledge of SAP or another ERP is a plus
- basic economic and financial skills (general accounting principles of which IFRS, cost accounting, % of completion methode, financial analysis,)
- you have a analytical mind
- you understand of business needs
- you are able to work autonomously in a complex environment
- you are analytical, curious, open minded, committed
- you are customer focus and strong communication skills
- the function is based in Brussels with frequent travels to our sites
- fluent in Dutch with good knowledge in French and English
