We are looking for a Lab Assistant to join the Inbiose team in Ghent, Belgium.
Inbiose, located at Technology Park in Zwijnaarde is searching for a fulltime
**About Inbiose**
Inbiose is a spin off company from Ghent University specialized in the development of biotechnological production processes of specialty carbohydrates. At this time more than 50 people are working at Inbiose and the number of collaborators will expand over the next years significantly.
**Your profile**:
- You have a High school degree in biotechnical sciences, chemistry or equivalent in experience
- You have a general interest in science and technology
- You have a strong sense of responsibility
- You have a sense for initiative, accuracy and detail
- You have a strong safety mindset and an eye for order
- You can work independently and flexible but are a team player with good interpersonal skills and eager to learn
- You have the ability to think and adapt to a rapidly changing environment and demands
- You have a good level of spoken and written English
- Understanding of MS office
**Responsibilities**:
You give general lab support:
- You will assist different teams on media, molecular, cleaning and order intake tasks
- Setting up, dismantling and cleaning of bioreactors
- Preparing laboratory materials including media, buffers, stocksolutions.
- Cleaning and preparation of laboratory glassware according to specified procedures
- Sterilizing laboratory glassware and certain lab supplies
- Order intake of lab consumables and materials, place them in the correct location and enter them into a computer program
- Maintain safe practices and work environment
