Direct Technical Buyer - FR/ENG - freelance mission - min. 4 months - Gosselies
Your new company
Our client is a global life sciences company that develops breakthrough technologies and services.
**Your new role**
You will work on the one-time delivery of components/services for their labs and production facilities:

- Define and implement optimal procurement strategies;
- Ensure timely purchase and delivery of direct material components;
- Identify and set up a preferred supplier network for best value;
- Negotiate with suppliers, manage contracts, and build solid relationships;
- Communicate effectively about stock levels, delivery times, and manage reporting;
- Proactively manage and develop the supplier panel, ensure compliance with GMP requirements;
- Work closely with internal customers to implement procurement processes and tools;
- Manage procurement plan, contract management, and key accounts;
- Collaborate with other buyers in the team and mentor junior buyers.

**Your profile**
- Fluent English and French
- A purchasing/procurement degree ;
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement purchase, experience in logistics is a plus.
- Technical background such as mechanical/electrical/biochemistry engineer is a plus
- You have experience with ERP / purchasing systems (SAP is a plus) and good knowledge of Excel
- You are pragmatic, solution driven with a critical and analytical mind, you always pay attention to details ;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills & the ability to closely manage suppliers and internal clients ;
- Enthusiastic team player, flexible, and able to lead a multitasking role ;
- Excellent quality and organization of work (autonomy, methodological approach, behavior under pressure ) ;
**What you'll get in return**
