**Association’s profile**
Ecommerce Europe is the voice of the European Digital Commerce sector. It represents, via its national associations, more than 150,000 companies selling goods and services online to consumers in Europe. Ecommerce Europe acts at European level to help legislators create a better framework for online merchants, so that their sales can grow further.
- Prepare background notes, briefings, reports, and articles on relevant policy issues;
- Undertake monitoring activities of issues relevant for the digital commerce sector;
- Assist advisors in their advocacy work, in conducting research and analysis for Ecommerce Europe and its members;
- Assist advisors in the development and execution of the Public Affairs strategy of the association;
- Assist public affairs advisors with stakeholder engagement on behalf of Ecommerce Europe;
- Contribute to the organisation of meetings and events;
- Support communications efforts of the association.
**Background and qualifications**
- Graduated (or about to graduate) from a master’s degree in a relevant field such as European studies, Political Science, Law, or other relevant education;
- Previous internship experience on digital policy files and within the European Institutions and/or Public Affairs is an asset;
- Language skills: excellent spoken and written English. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset;
- Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Previous experience in working with Mailchimp, WordPress and various social media channels would be an asset;
- Proactive and dynamic person with excellent communication and personal skills;
- Sound interest in digital and circular economy policies at European level.
**Terms and conditions**
- The expected starting date is 15 February 2023 (exact timing TBD);
- The duration of the traineeship is 6 months;
- The position is full-time;
- Our office is located at WeWork, Rue du Commerce 31, Brussels (Belgium);
- The traineeship is remunerated at € 1000 per month under the conditions of the ‘Convention d’immersion professionnelle / Beroepsinlevingsstage’;
- Additional benefits provided: working from home allowance; reimbursement of public transportation costs.
