**What are your responsibilities as R&D Manager ?**:

- You support your team to develop strong new value propositions (in product / visual / price / primary packaging), proactively look up for value optimization opportunities in both recipe as in processes and you support the operations’ teams in the issues they are facing regarding the here above mentioned value proposition, to ensure that you contribute towards the realization of the organization's strategic goals.
- Receiving the recipe specifications from Marketing, you analyze and take the lead in the execution of the project following a stage and gate process (Explore - Develop - Implement
- Evaluate) from the briefing to the post evaluation.
- You are responsible for the VPC (Variable Product Cost) calculation during the development and ensures that we have the validation of all internal and external stakeholders.
- Depending on the product destinations countries (UK, Ireland, France, The Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Poland and Switzerland), you are, among other departments such as Legal and Marketing - responsible of the writing and approval of the end product specifications.
- The R&D Team takes part in the label validation process by setting up the label information note and by approving that the label is developed according to the recipe developed.
- You are responsible for the validation of new raw materials and packaging's, to ensure that you contribute towards the realization of the organization's strategic goals:

- The different needed tests for validation are realized both in terms of taste / workability / microbiological.
- The raw material specifications are determined and set up in the systems.
- The main stakeholders (purchasing - operation - marketing - QA) are driven, aligned and involved by R&D, and give their validation
- As R&D Manager you are the owner of the development flow for your scope of area, in order to contribute towards the realization of the strategic goals.
- You have a clear view of the development pipeline both in terms of volume and value.
- You are responsible, together with the marketing team, to determine which projects will enter the pipeline, which priority and which timeline for the delivery.
- You are responsible of the correct implementation in our systems and the follow up of the development process in our ERP (podio / interspecs /).
- You ensure that the work delivered is clearly documented and realized in a state-of-the-art way.
- You lead multifunctional teams (purchasing - operation - marketing - QA) to ensure that an efficient and structured approach of execution of the different projects can be guaranteed.
- You lead dedicated multifunctional teams depending on the priority projects (engineering / productions / quality assurance /
- You are the lead of the New Activity Review
- You take responsibility for drawing up and following up the investment and development budget, to ensure that sufficient resources are made available and that these are used in the best possible manner to achieve set objectives
- You prepare budgets in support of projects and capital expenditure needs.
- You monitor the budget and making adjustments if necessary.
- You estimate budgetary requirements in support of development needs
- You initiate the process optimization possibilities in consultation with Production, Engineering, Maintenance and Logistics and harmonize the planning of the different projects to be realized in the best possible manner based on other operations, to ensure that an efficient and structured approach and execution of the different projects can be guaranteed.
