Proximus Ada is the first Belgian centre of excellence dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity (CS). These domains are key in helping Belgian society to face the challenges of today and tomorrow. Our ambition is to become one of the leading players in digital technology in Europe.
In our AI team data scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers and AI business consultants support the Proximus group in creating AI-driven solutions for business problems. Our CS teams manage cyber threats and define strategies to minimise cyber risk and protect our clients' assets.
Internship description
Proximus Ada is looking for an intern with knowledge in data science / machine learning with a particular interest in time series data (forecasting and anomaly detection), NLP + generative AI or multi modal predictions. As a ML engineer intern, you will collaborate with our internal ML engineers & data scientists to develop reusable assets / modules and demos that will help to demonstrate our expertise to external customers. In practice you will import, explore and analyse data, create machine learning models, pipelines and demos to showcase feasibility of potential future projects.
**Your are**
- A master student in a relevant field (AI, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics,...)
- Passionate about AI and ML, eager to learn and develop your skills.
- Comfortable with basic statistics and machine learning (ML) concepts.
- Proficient in Python & familiar with Python Machine Learning ecosystem, e.g. NumPy, pandas, scikit (You need to be able to implement a basic ML pipeline in Python)
- Independent, curious & happy to explore new areas
- Interested to join a fun & fast-growing company with start-up mentality
- Experience with Git is nice to have.
