Shift Supervisor Production 2 Shifts

Dicofoods (until recently Dicogel and Begro) is a frozen vegetable company with headquarters in Ardooie. Together with the company Westfro (also frozen vegetables) and Roger & Roger (producer of Croky potato chips, among others), they are part of a family owned company. Dicofoods and Westfro produce and commercialize frozen vegetables, vegetable mixtures, fruit, potatoes and herbs for customers in the retail, foodservice and industrial sectors. Today they jointly realize a turnover of approximately 160 million euros with 450 enthusiastic employees. During the season, the number of employees can increase significantly.
**Your tasks**:
After an internal training, you will be given the following range of tasks:
- start up production
- receive fresh vegetables and pass the documents on to the lab
- run the production lines as efficiently as possible
- manage the distribution of the different functions
- follow up the tasks of the various functions in the team
- assist where necessary in the production process
- follow up the state of the machinery.
- carry out basic maintenance, when discovering minor malfunctions you solve them autonomously. If the deviations or malfunctions are significant, you will report them to the technical department and the person in charge.
- follow up the quality of the finished product
- follow up the safety in the production departments
- staffing in the production departments
- check the execution of the various functions
- cleanliness of production, machines, equipment and other means of production
- in consultation with the laboratory, ensure the quality of the finished product
- timely defrost the freezing tunnels and clean the tunnels and lines
- report the production quantities, mechanical and electrical malfunctions, irregularities in the production process, absences of the staff
- you report to the production manager
**Your profile**:
- You have at least an A2 diploma and you have relevant experience as a team manager
- You speak good Dutch/French and/or English
- You have a sense of responsibility
- You are technically inclined
- You work accurately and in a structured way
- You have an eye for quality, hygiene, efficiency, team spirit
- You have a positive and flexible mindset
- You can give instructions and you are computer-minded
- Experience in the food sector is an asset
