**Duties**:

- Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility.
- Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
- Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions.
- Performs facility cleanliness and /or monitors contracts.
- Assists with publicity of programs and events with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other promotional material.
- Issues/receives equipment to authorized users.
- Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate.
- Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A probation period of one year may be required.
- Successfully complete a health screening. Immunizations required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
- MUST be 18 years of age at the time of appointment (Childcare positions only)
- Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- In consideration of COVID-19, personnel within this area routinely wear personal protective equipment (cloth face coverings, latex gloves, and face shields) while performing their regular duties.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
- Obtain and maintain a US Government Driver's License license within 3 months of employment.
- Completion of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training within 6 months of employment.

**Qualifications**:
Work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to provide information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery; experience assisting in setting up for recreational or community events. Such duties could include:

- Providing information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
- Assisting in setting up for recreational or community events.

**HIGHLY DESIRABLE**:
**Prior experience working in special events, fitness center or community activity centers. Experience in setting up 3k/5k runs and sports or fitness programs.**
