We are on the lookout for a/an** Expert in DevSecOps** **to join our team for working with European Institutions based in** **Brussels** in an **near site** position**.**

For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions. DIGIT.B.3. manages Trans-European Services, ensuring their harmonization, reuse, and efficiency across the European Commission and other bodies. It is responsible for Digital Trust Services, delivering the EU Sign solution and implementing IT components of the eIDAS regulation (eID, eSignature, Trusted Lists). The DISS sector within DIGIT.B.3. handles identity and access management through solutions like EU Login, EU Access, and EU Provisioning. There is a need to define and implement an additional governance layer for enhanced digital identity management.

Below are the details of your role and requirements.

**Your role**

Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:

- Deployment Management:

- Manage deployments in Acceptance (ACC) and Production (PROD) environments.
- Develop and maintain deployment scripts and automation tools.
- Work closely with Development, QA, and DevSecOps teams to ensure smooth
deployments.
- Infrastructure Maintenance:

- Ensure the IT infrastructure is up to date with the latest patches and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
- Manage server, storage, and network configurations.
- Incident and Problem Management:

- Respond to incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
- Conduct root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
- Maintain an incident log and prepare incident reports.
- Documentation and Compliance:

- Maintain detailed documentation of the infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and organizational policies.
- Collaboration and Support:

- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.

Who we think you are
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
- Atlassian Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
- Knowledge of Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab
- Knowledge of CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI
- Knowledge of Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace
- Ability to give technical presentations.
- Analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.
- Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills

Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:

- Experience in IT operations or a similar role (minimum 3 years)
- Experience with deployment management (min. competence level 3)
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (i.e. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) (min. competence level 2)
- Strong scripting skills (i.e. Python, Bash, PowerShell) (min. competence level 3).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (i.e AWS, Azure, GCP) (min. competence level 3)

Following certificate & standard is required for the performance of tasks (one of):

- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or equivalent.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent
