Senior Accountant

The mission of Cellistic/ Ncardia Belgium is to understand human iPSC and developmental biology and harness this knowledge to develop and manufacture iPSC therapeutics that significantly improve patient outcomes. We are convinced that pluripotent stem cell technology is the key to getting better, more efficient treatments to patients faster. To achieve this mission, we are building a world-leading research facility to overcome the complexity and challenges of iPSC lineage specification. We will know we have succeeded when we can reliably and rapidly generate cell products that consistently produce positive outcomes in patients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Supportsexternal audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
- Complies with legal reporting requirementsby preparing and submitting amongst others VAT, Tax, Intrastat et al declarations.
- Participates in elaborating of budgets and forecasts
- Participates in establishment of ERP system ensuring secure and accurate financial information.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Psychosocial risks: management and monitoring with Occupational Health department (SEPP).

**Qualification & Skills**:

**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5-10 years' experience in accounting / finance
- CPA preferred
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
- Experience with financial & management reporting requirements
