The **Chemical Development Pilot Plants at the Geel and Beerse sites **are crucial for advancing the development of new medicines for new product introductions. Our primary goal is to ensure the safe, optimal, and competitive delivery of life-saving medications to patients. These Pilot Plants play a significant role in designing, developing, and scaling up the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) from lab scale to commercial production, as well as supplying medicines for clinical studies. To fulfil our mission, we consistently invest in ground breaking technologies, talented individuals, and strategic partnerships.
**Key Responsibilities**:
As Pilot Plants Assets Manager, your primary objective is to facilitate breakthrough enhancements in the manufacturing process, **focusing on the safety, efficiency, productivity, and reliability of our equipment and systems.**
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a diverse maintenance, automation & reliability team across 2 physical locations (Beerse and Geel) and ensuring flawless execution of reactive, preventive and proactive maintenance.
- Coaching team members and promote the ‘Technical Ownership’ culture.
- Taking technical ownership of manufacturing assets: identifying improvement projects, optimizing maintenance strategies and ensuring the right spare parts are available.
- Collaborate with customers in both Research and Development and Commercial Manufacturing Supply organizations such as Operations, Engineering and Planning to align on priorities both in the short and the long term.
- Driving digital technological innovations, such as implementing continuous sensor technologies to improve maintenance plans and constructing online reliability dashboards.

- A technical degree or equivalent experience and a strong interest in all aspects of maintenance & reliability. Preferred fields of study are Engineering or Science.
- An innovative drive to make the difference and achieve results. Combination of analytical and technical skills to understand and solve complex issues as well as derive related business needs.
- Decisiveness, brainpower and drive to deal with various issues and projects simultaneously.
- Passionate about bringing innovative ideas, products and services to life, demonstrating strong project management skilled in leading changes.
- Able to collaborate with others using both English and Dutch.
