**Skills, knowledge, experience required**:

- A Graduate Degree in computer and information systems technology or an equivalent level of qualification or professional accreditation by a related engineering Institute or professional body;
- Fluent English in both spoken and written;
- Experience in the licensing of Microsoft products, VMware, NetApp;
- General knowledge of monitoring tools such as MS SCOM, OnCommand Unified Manager and proprietary tools associated with on-site technologies (NetApp, Microsoft, VMware);
- Working knowledge of network interconnectivity and general routing and switching;
- Knowledge of fibre channel/fabric-based solutions;
- Knowledge of ITIL processes;
- Experience with asset management databases;
- Understanding of enterprise level technologies to deliver services to large organizations;
- Broad knowledge of enterprise level technologies in order to be able to efficiently project solutions against requirements;
- Experience in administration of MS Windows Servers 2008/2012/2016;
- Experience in security requirements in large virtualized environment;
- Experience in storage for VM-based architectures and the ability to manipulate storage to suit computing needs;
- Experience in implementing solutions in public cloud environments.

**Duties/role**:

- Assisting the storage team in monitoring of SAN and fibre channel switches, including both responding to automated incidents generated by monitoring tools;
- Developing monitoring tools for the virtual environment that allow a proactive approach to problem solving;
- Performing event management;
- Working with storage team to create fibre channel zones;
- Supporting the migration, adaptation, operation, maintenance and tuning for all SAN inside the classified/unclassified NATO networks and new upcoming networks;
- Performing central enterprise administration of hosting infrastructure;
- Maintaining the hosting infrastructure hardware and implementing changes as required to fix detected errors;
- Identifying operational problems and contributing to their resolution;
- Analyzing and implementing user requirements;
- Implementing disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity;
- Implementing and testing new hardware and software releases;
- Contributing to the development of Standard Operating Procedures for routine system administration tasks;
- Using system management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics;
- Carrying out agreed system software maintenance tasks;
- Participating in or conducting technical reviews, walkthroughs and audits;
- Providing technical expert advice to superiors and external elements.
